The Bolt EV and EUV: simply electrifying.

The Chevrolet Bolt series. Whether you want a compact car or an itty bitty SUV, you've got options!

Going from 0-60 in 6.4 seconds, just behind some of our most powerful trucks, the Bolt is not something to be scoffed at. With a range a bit over 400km per full charge (for context that's almost a round trip from our dealership to Tofino, and almost two round trips to Victoria), the Bolt EV and EUV are shaping up to be quite the competition for gas powered vehicles.

For most people, a Bolt's range and charging speed at a level 3 charger is more than enough to get from point A to point B. If you're going on a long trip, a lot of people think charging an EV is inconvenient but the technology is at the tipping point where another 50km is a brief pitstop away.

  • Automatic Emergency Braking: works to help avoid or reduce severity of a front-end collision with. Cameras are used to automatically brake or enhance the driver's braking.
  • Following Distance Indicator: displays your following distance in seconds.
  • Forward Collision Alert: can warn you if it detects a potential front-end collision with a vehicle. Can also provide a tailgating alert if your follow distance is too close.
  • Front Pedestrian Braking: at speeds below 80 km/h in the daytime, this can help avoid or reduce severity of a front-end collision with a pedestrian. Provides pedestrian alerts and auto emergency braking or enhances the driver's braking. Limited functionality at night and in low visibility conditions.
  • Intellibeam® High Beam Assist: at speeds above 40 km/h, can automatically turn on or off high beams depending on surrounding traffic conditions.
  • Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning: makes a quick steering wheel tug alert you when it detects you are unintentionally drifting out of your lane lines, if needed you may receive additional Lane Departure Warning alerts. System alerts do not occur if the system detects you may be intentionally leaving your lane.

A lot of people think it would be silly to have an electric vehicle not harness waste energy. We did too, so if you're in the city and braking a lot, with Regen on Demand, you're charging a bit when you brake!

The Bolt may not be the most expensive luxury EV on the market, but the tech will still make you feel like you're getting a luxury experience. The big touch screens and graphics were built to impress.

Starting with the 2022 models, there will be an option to enable Super Cruise!™ It's a premium feature but in this review it blew a seasoned autopilot user away (MSRP on that site is not in CAD)!
